Power Plate My3 Vibration Machine Review
Power Plate is generally regarded as the first company to really bring vibration training machines to the masses and is still a leader in the industry.
However, the Power Plate My3 Vibration Machine (MSRP $2,599) is far from the best option unless you’re really looking to save money on an entry level machine. VibrationMachineReviews.com awarded the Power Plate My3 Vibration Machine Vibration Machine a 74 out of 100 ranking.
The Power Plate My3 is the entry level machine in Power Plate’s lineup and has a small footprint of just 25 inches x 29 x 60. For the price point of $2,600 or below, the Power Plate My3 is a good option, but we feel consumers can do better.
With a machine weight of just 126 pounds, people who want to do strength training won’t get much stability. Even on basic exercises such as a squat, an average-sized man may very easily feel like the machine will tip over because it’s too light.
If you want a vibration machine for strength training, check out something with a larger workout platform and heavier weight like the 3G Cardio 5.0 or the Power Plate My5.
For someone who wants a vibration machine for bone density, circulation and-or stretching, the Power Plate My3 is a good choice.
Comparing the Power Plate My3 to the 3G Cardio 3.0 – both sell for about the same price – the 3G Cardio 3.0 offers more frequency settings and a deeper, more stable platform. We highly recommend spending a little bit more money to upgrade to a different machine if possible.
If you want to stick with Power Plate, we would suggest moving up to the Power Plate My5. Try these machines out in a specialty fitness store and test them yourself, but we’re confident you’ll notice how important a machine’s actual physical weight is to the stability of the machine.
